The range covers cooling capacities from 200kW up to 1200kW and is said to have an SEER rating of up to 4.52 and an SEPR of up to 6.19.
This latest addition follows the launch of the AquaForce Vision 30KAV/P-ZE with R1234ze at the end of last year. The new models add to the existing range of XB/P chillers launched in 2018 for R134a.
The 30XBZE standard unit features variable-speed AC fan motors. The 30XBPZE premium unit comes with an additional heat exchange surface to improve both the full load and part load energy efficiency.
The AquaForce range is equipped with Carrier 06T twin screw compressors with a high efficiency motor and a variable capacity valve that permits exact matching of the cooling capacity to the load.
It also features an all-aluminium Novation micro channel heat exchangers, resulting in 40% reduction in the refrigerant charge. The addition of Carrier’s Super Enviro-shield coatings are said to guarantee long-term optimised performance.
The flooded shell-and-tube evaporator includes new generation cooler tubes to reduce exchanger pressure drops, especially in applications with high percentage of glycol, it is said.
Low noise levels are said to be achieved through the incorporation of discharge dampers in the oil separator and a silencer on the economiser return line. There is also the option of an acoustic enclosure for the compressor and oil separator.
Condenser coils are designed in a wide angle V configuration, allowing quieter air flow across the coil, and sound is further reduced by the adoption of 6th generation Flying Bird fans, made of a Carrier-patented composite material that are now said to be even quieter.
